Last Sunday we attended the Bury CofE Primary School fete. We started setting up shop from 11am ready for a 12pm start, it took me a while as I kept getting interested people coming over for a chat about what we do. Eventually I managed to get a telescope or two set up and we got some solar observing going. There was a healthy interest which when facing competition like Falconry and Bungy trampolining we did quite well. Lots of enquiries for advice on telescope set up and what would make a good first observing option. All in all a really great opportunity to engage with the public and promote Worthing Astronomers.
